f(x)=x^3+5 on [-2,2]

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Okay...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you integrating or finding extrema?

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Guessing the question is: f(x)=x^3+5 on [-2,2] has: a max, but not min neither a mx nor a min both a max and min min but not a max

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

You may have to first find any critical points, so first where find f'(x) = 0, then you'll have to check with either the first derivative test, or second derivative test, to see if that's a turning point (max or min) or just a saddle point.
