Carrie's house is 18 feet tall. For her birthday, Carrie's dad is making her a dollhouse that is a scale model of her actual house. When the dollhouse is not being used, it will be placed in the living room display case, which is 12 inches tall. Which scale will allow her dad to make the tallest dollhouse that will fit in the display case?

A 1 inch = 3 feet B 1 inch = 2 feet C 1 inch = 4 feet

C is the answer. If you use 1 inch to equal 2 feet, then the model would be 9 inches tall -- cause 18 divided by 2 is 9. If you use D for 1 inch = 3 feet, then the model would only be 6 inches tall (18 divided by 3)... and each other answer keeps giving you smaller results.
