simplify the expression. Write your answer in lowest terms and leave it in factored form. 5y/y(y-1) + 2/y-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5y/[y(y-1)] + 2/y-1 in the first part you have y/y which is just 1 so now you have 5/[(y-1)] + 2/(y-1) where both the fractions have a common denominator of y-1 so now you can add the numerators. (5+2)/(y-1) = 7/(y-1)
