A rifle is aimed horizontally at a target 54.0m away. The bullet hits the target 2.10cm below the aim point. What was the bullet's flight time? What was the bullet's speed as it left the barrel?

OpenStudy (kfujioka):

The same principles apply as in your last question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't even know how to do the last one.

OpenStudy (kfujioka):

I'm sorry, I thought you got that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, its a problem that gives you 4 trials to get it right. But every time i apply formulas and rules to the problem which i learned, I'm not getting the right answer.

OpenStudy (kfujioka):

That's frustrating, I know. Ok, well let's try to work with this one. What formula or rule do you want to apply here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not sure.

OpenStudy (kfujioka):

How 'bout starting with the bullet's flight time. It falls under gravity by 2.10cm from where it started. Do you have anything that could give you flight time from that?
