If two men plough a field in in 10 days, then 1 man ploughs a field in 20 days. This gives us a ratio of men to days taken to plough 1 : 20. To get how long it takes 5 men to plough the same field working at the same rate, we multiply the part of the ratio representing the number of by 5 and divide the other by 4. So we get: 1 x 5 : 20 / 4 = 5 : 4. Hence they take 4 days. @moses_fj
