Ricky went to the store and bought 5 boxes of apples. The lightest box weighed 20 pounds. The heaviest box weighed 27 pounds. Which could be the total weight of the apple boxes?

Calculate the weight of 5 boxes weighing 20 lb each. Then calculate the weight of 5 boxes weighing 27 lb each. The weight you want is between the two weights calculated above.
The lightest is 20 lbs, so if all boxes were 20 lbs, then you'd have 5*20 = 100 lbs total The heaviest is 27 lbs, so if all boxes were 27 lbs, then you'd have 5*27 = 135 lbs total The actual total is somewhere between 100 and 135 because not all boxes are 100 or 135
I meant to say not all are 20 or 27, but you get the idea
