The dollar mark up is 5.60 and my percent mark up coast is 102.26 what is the final coast an mark up percent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what you've got is this: \[x+5.60 =102.60\] Which means x = 97.00 Now you find how much of a percentage markup $5.60 was on $97, so you do this: \[$5.60/$97.00 = y\] Move the decimal two places to the right, stick a "%" afterwards and you've got your percentage.
