**Please Help :( I have to Solve by Completing the Square x^2+2x+2=0

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a perfect square is of the form: (x+b)^2 when we expand this out we get: x^2 + 2bx + b^2 compare this to what you have been given: x^2 + 2x + 2 since the middle terms have to equal: 2b = 2 and the end terms have to equal: b^2 = 2+c i would try to find a suitable value for c that you can add to the setup
