OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Compare and Contrast. Below are two sets of points. Find the slopes between the two points and compare them. Choose the statement that is true about the values of the slopes. Set #1 Set #2 (0, 4) and (-2, 8) (3, 7) and (-1, -5) The slope of Set #1 is smaller than the slope of Set #2. The slope of Set #1 is larger than the slope of Set #2. The slope of Set #1 is the same as the slope of Set #2. None of the statements above describes slopes of sets shown.

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Maybe you could evaluate the slopes of both sets?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Remember... Change in y over change in x.

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Would it be A?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

I don't know, I was rather hoping you'd get the slopes of set 1 and 2...or you've already worked them out? :>

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

brb

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

I'm really not sure here,@Soumyadeep in getting which slope is "bigger" or "smaller" do we only consider absolute values of the slopes?

OpenStudy (stamp):

see attachment for solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, we r considering the values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and then on the basis of that, we arrive at the conclusion

OpenStudy (stamp):

@terenzreignz absolute value or not, the answer is the same

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

@stamp that's... true, I guess :D Then dmezz was right
