Hello math talents, could anyone go throught intervals with me? I am very confused

OpenStudy (agreene):

intervals of what? and yes, probably.

OpenStudy (agreene):

I'm not entirely sure what the mean by increasing or decreasing on the interval...

OpenStudy (agreene):

i mean, it tends very slowly towards infinity in the x>0 direction (on both x and y) and towards -inf in the x<0 direction...

OpenStudy (agreene):

erg i said that wrong... im kinda tired sorry. its y=7 for all x=/= 0

OpenStudy (stamp):

Seems like everything is fine, when x > 0 the function is increasing and when x < 0 the function is decreasing. The function is continuous at all real x values. The graph confirms this analysis http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=7x^2%2F%28x^2%2B4%29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i solve this problem? intervals.
