y=x^2-7 graph find vortex

OpenStudy (precal):

vortex, hmmmmmm I don't believe we have vortex in quadratics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would find the x and y intercepts first to be able to graph them. for the x intercept plug 0 for y (0=x^2-7) and solve for x. For the y intercept plug 0 for x (y=7).

vertex

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the vertex use this formula: -b/2a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you walk me through it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure, gimme a sec to do it and then I'll show you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait! its way more simple than having to use a formula! what's the vertex of every x^2 graph??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm 0
