find the volume of the prism. round to the nearest tenth if necessary. 12m, 6m, 8m. a) 576m3 b) 288m3 c) 96m3 d) 24m3

OpenStudy (raden):

just multiply 12 * 6 * 8 = ... i assumed that is a rectangular prisms

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is what I thought I would do, but the final answer key says it is b. 288m3 and don't know how they got that answer

OpenStudy (raden):

maybe this is not a rectangular prisms :) is there a diagram ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, it a prism. the length is 12m, height 6m, and width is 8m. all exponent 3

OpenStudy (raden):

what kind prism is it ? can u draw diagram that prism ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is a rectangler

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can't draw it on here

OpenStudy (raden):

like a cuboid ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe the answer key is wrong for final, but I still don't know how it is 288m exponent 3. I keep on getting 576m3

OpenStudy (raden):

maybe it just half :) 288 = 1/2 of 576

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is little wider than a cuboid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks and I will ask my teacher. i do believe you could be right as well. Thanks
