Is 3/4 the exponent of y or 4 a divisor of the 8-12y^3?
3 is the exponet and divideby 4?
What is divided by 4?
okay so 8-12y^3 power and then over 4
the answer is -(3y^3-2)

OK, I'll try it this way, according to how I've understood: (8-12y^3)/4 That's like multiplying all the characters in the brackets by 1/4. By doing so, we have, (1/4*8)-(1/4*12y^3) =2-3y^3.
