to factor this out you have to find 2 numbers, call them a and b, that add to be 13 and multiply to be 12 then you plug them in (k +a)(k+b) and you're done!

you could also factorise it as a Quadratic equation is done.. i'll show u. k2+13k+12 k2+12k+k+12 k(k+12)+1(k+12) well now solve it for yourself.. @keeno ...
