What was the result of the Battle of Gettysburg in July 1863? Major Pickett was convinced to join the Union. President Lincoln was killed during the invasion. The Union troops began to gain the upper hand in the war. The Union lost one-third of its entire army in the battle.

The union was a big part of this so A and B are out of the question
Union took the upper hand...it was a major death toll but the union did not lose 1/3 of its army
If the union at that battle lost 1/3 of their men we would have won no doubt about it
