12x^3+13x-22x-14/3x+4 using long division state the quotient and remainder. My answer is the quotient 4x^2-x-6 and the remainder is 10. Is math correct? Please and Thank you.

Directrix (directrix):

I did not get that result but my work could be wrong. Question: Should there be an exponent in the problem: 12x^3+13x-22x-14? You have two linear x terms there.

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

yeah....I do not come to that result either *hint...you can combine those x's and you need some kind of x² to divide into*

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

or as @Directrix has stated....should 13x...be 13x²?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

yeah it must be 13x²....if so...your answer is indeed correct
