Determine the type of boundary line and shading for the graph of the inequality -3x + y > 6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you do this?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Type: Broken

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the inequality is STRICTLY less than or greater than, then the line is broken. to determine where to shade, use an easy test point. i usually use (0, 0), the origin. if the inequality holds true, then shade the side that the origin is on... if not, shade the opposite side of the line.
