-about 45% of Americans do not read books at all -The average number of books read by the reading population is 16/yr. -About 53% of Americans Read fewer than 12 books /yr. -About 25% of Americans read at least 20 books/yr. Assuming that all of these results are accurate, what percent of Americans read 12-19 books (inclusive) a year?

Take away the 25% from the 100% because they read more than 19 books. You get 75%. Next, take the 53% away from 75% because they read less than 12 books. 22% remains, which is the answer.

Thank you. I came up with 22% to begin with but kept thinking I was wrong. I kept wanting to take 53% of the 25%. Which I knew still wasn't right. :/
