what was Lincoln's view on African Americans?

He didn't believe they should be slaves, however, he did think they were inferior to white people. He did not believe " racial harmony " could be possible in the United States while blacks and whites lived here. He believed in colonization : the idea that the African American population should leave the United States and settle in Africa or Central America.

To put it simply Lincoln wasn't an abolitionist.
