Can someone please giving me a step by step walk through with this equation by reducing it to the quadratic form? 4x^-2 - x^-1 - 5=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

replace \(x^{-1}\) by \(u\) making \(x^{-2}=u^2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the "quadratic form" is now \[4u^2-u-5=0\]

Thank You so much!
