10k-3/-8>3

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

\[\frac{ 10k - 3 }{ -8 } > 3\] or \[10k -\frac{ 3 }{ -8 } > 3\] ?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

I'm going to assume it is the first one so (10k - 3)/-8 > 3 multiply both sides by -8 to get rid of that fraction ****remember to switch the direction of the inequality when multipliying or dividing by a negative number so 10k - 3 < -24 add 3 to both sides to isolate 10k 10k < -21 divide both sides by 10 to isolate k completely k < -2.1
