Use something interesting, but not dramatic. As for my college english teachers, they dont like things to run on. They just want straight forward information based on you writings.

An easy way to write your thesis statement is to come up with a question your trying to research about in your research paper. For example, your main topic on your research paper is: Q: “What are the potential benefits of using computers in a fourth-grade class?” A: “The potential benefits of using computers in a fourth-grade class are . . .” OR A: “Using computers in a fourth-grade class promises to improve . . .” The answer to your research question could be your thesis statement. But you should beware, that the thesis statement has to be in a complete sentence that express one main idea of your essay.
