What is the quotient six minus x over x squared plus two x minus three divided by x squared minus four x minus twelve over x squared plus four x plus three in simplified form? State any restrictions on the variable

here is a strategy find the reciprocal of the 2nd fraction and change the divide to a multiply symbol. factor all the quadratics cancel common factors.

sorry , im confused still I don't understand

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you are dividing by a fraction... flip the 2nd fraction and multiply \[\frac{6 -x}{x^2 + 2x -3} \times \frac{x^2 + 4x + 3}{x^2 - 4x -12}\] so I'll factor a couple of things \[\frac{-1(x - 6)}{x^2 +2x -3} \times \frac{x^2 +4x +3}{(x -6)(x+2)}\] so you may see a common factor that can be removed.

IS IT THIS ?negative one over x plus two, x ≠ –3, x ≠ –2, x ≠ 6
