y= |x| / x What is the domain and range of this? Pls help... On some graphing calculators it doesnt work... Wolfram works but it is unclear.

You know, for any positive number x, we always get y = 1, right?

On the other hand, for any negative number x, we always get y = -1

my textbook says the range is y all real except 1 and -1 I think they are wrong...
