how do i find the volume in cm3 of a box of 75 iron nails weighing .250lb?? thanks!!!

I think that you can't with this information... If you need to find the volume of the box you would need something like the dimensions. If the box contained a liquid you could calculate the volume with the weight and density but in this case you can't.

unless they expect you to assume that there is no space between the nails and that they are made out of purely iron, you can't do this. If you assume what i said above, you can covert 0.250 lbs to grams then knowing the density of solid iron is 7.874 g/cm^3 density=mass/volume -> volume = mass/density these are really illogical assumptions, but i don't really see how else you can solve this.
