OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

If T = {integers} and subset W = {positive integers}, what is W′? {1, 2, 3, …} {…−3, −2, −1} {−3, −2, −1, 0} { } I think its A!

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

@terenzreignz

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

W is the set of all positive integers, right? W' is the set of all that are NOT positive integers. So, which one of these choices seem to best fit that description?

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

A

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

A is {1, 2, 3...} These are the positive integers... Means this is W. W' is the set of all that are NOT in W. What are Integers, but are not positive integers?

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

B

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

That's plausible, however, these are the set of all negative integers. Negative Integers are certainly not positive integers, but is that all? There is another number that is not a positive integer.

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

C

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

There you go :) W = set of all positive integers W' = set of non-positive integers... 0 and the negative integers included.

OpenStudy (dmezzullo):

Ohhh i see
