Give detailed Conception of : composition of functions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Composite functions are functions that are stated with respect to other functions. The output of such functions is dependent on other functions. This implies that a composite function is a composition of more than one function. For example: Given 2 functions defined as f(x) = 2x and g(x) = x^2, then the function is h(x) = f(g(x)) is a function stated in terms of g(x) which implies that it is a composite function since it is the composition of 2 functions.
