Which function has the graph attached inside? A. y= cos x B. y= -sin x C. y= sin(-x) D. y= -cos x ***not sure, but i think it's either B or C cuz it's moving horizontally and that's a sin kind of graph right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wait... but cos goes horizontal too right??? ;/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

graph :)

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when x = 0, y is y = ???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y= -1 ?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

So which function above gives you y = -1 when you plug in x = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not A right? cuz that gives u 0 right?

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

when x = 0, y = cos(x) y = cos(0) y = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh right.. forgot about that!! so if cos=1, then wouldn't -cos be -1?? so would the answer be D. y= -cos x ??

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

yep

whoo hoo!! thanksss :D
