y=-1/4x+8
What do you want to do in it??
i keep forgetting ho to solve it
how*
what do you want to solve for?
You here can solve for x or for y?? For which variable you want to solve?
welli have to use the slope method to solve it all i remem was the y=mx+b
It is already solved...
What are you basically doing with this equation?? Want to find slope and y-intercept??
but how do i graph it tho?
and yes
I am not at all good at graphing instead I can tell you how to find it slope and intercept.. Compare the two equation and look for colored part: \[y = \color{red}{m}x + \color{green}{b}\] \[y = \color{red}{-\frac{1}{4}x} + \color{green}{8}\]
you can just pick any value at all to be x or y and then find its corresponding y or x value, about two of them and then plot the graph with those coordinates
so i first multiply 4 with x first right?
Here if you are comparing red things then that will be slope and green things are showing y-intercept.. :)
Sorry in second equation x is black only and no red x is there..
By comparing them can you tell me what is m and what is b??
what waterineyes is simply saying is that when comparing, m = slope and b=y-intercept
ohhh got it thank you both
