Brianne used a compass and found that the measure of angle BCA is the same as the measure of angle EFD, and that the measure of angle BAC is the same as the measure of angle EDF in the triangles shown below. Using complete sentences, describe the next steps required to prove that triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF.

so its clear that two angles are congruent. if we measure the included sides, and if they also turns out to be congruent, we can conclude that triangles are congurent by ASA ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

i can help u if u interact

yea

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

great ! see if the next steps make sense - 1) measure the included sides : AC and DF using compass 2) if they are equal we say that both the triangles are congruent by ASA postulate 3) if they are not equal we say that both the triangles are not congruent.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes they make sense, thanks

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yw..
