Please help! It would be greatly appreciated!!!! WILL AWARD MEDAL!!!! Mr. Conti doesn't want to spend any more than $50 on pencils and pens for the schoo lyear. Pencils cost $0.89 per box and pens cost $1.24 per box. Mr. Conti knows at least twenty-five boxes of pencils. Please write a system of equations, and explain how you did what you did. Thank you!
I will give you a medal if you do it.. :P
fine. i got 1.24p+0.89l is less than of equal to 50 p+l is greater than or equal to 25
You did it..
yes, but how did you know that i was right? please explain.
You don't have self confidence that you are right?? :P
See now let us get serious..
no, i do, or else i wouldn't be satisfied with that answer, but you could just be saying it's right when it's not.. i mean.. well i think you get the point
See, first equation will be formed on the basis of Dollar or Money that is given: So. there is total of 50$, but not more than that.. But here it costs, 1.24$ for each box of pens and 0.89$ for each box of pencils: So: If I suppose number of pencil box as p and number of pen box as l (as you did): So, I have spent money on pencils boxes will be : Number of boxes*Cost = 0.89p Similarly for pen we get : 1.24l So, this total cost will be less than or equal to 50$ So our first equation goes like : 1.24l + 0.89p <= 50
oh so i am right. thank you @waterineyes . now i'll give you a medal. hahaha
But number of boxes will atleast be 25: We have p boxes of pen and l boxes of pencils: So" p + l >= 25
so i have everything trighht
Yep..
omg. thank you so much
will you also be willing to help me on two other problems? well, actually, it's justa check.
