OpenStudy (goformit100):

The cost of a notebook is twice the cost of a pen. Write a linear equation in two variables to represent this statement. (Take the cost of a notebook to be `xand that of a pen to be`y).

Parth (parthkohli):

Let the price of the pen be \(x\) and the price of the notebook be \(y\). Can you make the equation now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=x/2

OpenStudy (goformit100):

no :(

Parth (parthkohli):

Oh, we have the opposite.

Parth (parthkohli):

Then it is \(y=\dfrac{x}{2}\)

Parth (parthkohli):

But I'd rather take \(y\) as the price of the notebook.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ParthKohli what's the difference?

Parth (parthkohli):

You don't get fractions in \(y=2x\) :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (goformit100):

I failed in my exam! :-O
