well can you factor the numerator... so \[t^2 -4t -32 = (t + factor 1)(t + factor2)\] find the factors of 32 that add to -4.... the larger factor is negative. and what value can't you have in the denominator...? you need to solve t - 8 = 0 this will give the value of t you can't have. next look at what can be cancelled, use the factored form of the equation.
