use the factor theorem to determine if x-3 is a factor of p(x)=2x^(3)-4x^(2)-8 and evaluate the proper value of p

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well if (x -3) is a factor then x = 3 is a root. so you need to find P(3) by substituting. is P(3) = 0, then (x -3) is a factor.
