suppose, in a differential white blood cell count, a total of 86 white blood cells are counted, including 50 neutrophils and 30 lymphocytes. what is the percentage of neutrophils and lymphocytes in this blood sample?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

80/86 = .930 = 93% ( I think)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but where did u get 80 form? i was thinking 50 x 100 then divide by 86???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I added the 50 neutrophils and 30 lymphocytes and got 80. I then put that over the total white blood cells, which is 86. I then divided it and turned the decimal into a percent.
