The slant height of the cone itself is 4 inches, and the radius of the ice cream scoop on top is 0.75 inches. What is the approximate surface area of the entire ice cream cone with the scoop of ice cream?

\[SA=\pi rs+\pi r^2\] |dw:1364840761475:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do u find the radius?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says the radius of the ice cream scoop on top it .75 so the picture shows it's the radius of the cone as well.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Surface Area of a Sphere = 4 pi r^2 So the ice cream scoop would be half of the answer to that equation.

Get it?

16.485
