Element Z has a half life of 20 minutes. The starting mass is 300 gram. How many grams of sample will remain after 8 half-lives?
how much will be left after one half life? It's called half-life for a reason...
after 1 half life -> 200/2 = 100g after 2nd half life -> 100/2 = 50g after 3rd half life -> 50/2 = 25g and so on
follow?
160min are how many half-lifes?
20min -> 1 half-life so 160 min -> how many half-lifes?
8 half lives
good. then proceed the same way as above for "8" half lifes and find out how much is left. Also, the amount of sames will never go to "0". will be very small but never "0"
what kind of a statement is that! you are bothered?
@foxhunter98 this is not a place for "free"ask and get done. you work for yourself. This is a guidance place.
lol, then leave if you dont want to work it out with our guidance .... because that is what your statement is telling us
what does: "i just cant be bothered to do it!" mean? assuming im misinterpreting it
I'm really not sure how to do half lives. But y don't you keep working it down. What do you mean by you cant be bothered to do it? That makes no sence, either you don't want to do it or you or you don't get it. But by now i'm sure you know.
one down ... how many more to go?
lol no one is going to help u now xD
@foxhunter98 nobody here can be bothered to do it either. we are all busy professionals who like to share our knowledge and help out others in need. You want the answer, we guide you and solve it. You do not like the concept. you are free to leave.
Bro come up with a different word then "bothered" your using it wrong anyways. But on the otherhand you wont get an answer straight plain and simple you have to add you input.
