Guuys please help... Why is water continously absorbed by a plant even when it requires only 2% of the total water absorbed?? Give three points.. Please..

because, the water transport is not controlled process but happens by "cappilarry action. As long as the stomata under the leaves are open, the capillary action will keep siphonig the water from the ground.

the only way this is controlled is by the number of stomata and the duration they are open.
