I was thinking the answer was B but I don't know if I'm right or wrong.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, i think it's B as well because gametes are unfertilized and by Mitosis fertilization should have already occurred.

i think that in order to have a diploid (2n) two haploids have to fuse (fertilization)
