What is the average acceleration during the time interval 0 seconds to 10 seconds? a) 0.5 meters/seconds^2 b) 1 meter/second^2 c) 2meters/second^2 d) 3 meters/second^2

A is the answer. All you need to do is find the slope (which is the average acceleration) between the times of 0 and 10: (5-0)/(10-0) = 1/2

oh i see, thank you (:

No problem :)

Would this be the sme thing? What is the displacement of the particle in the time interval 5 seconds to 8 seconds?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, you would have to integrate to find the position graph/function and then subtract the y-coordinate of 8 seconds from 5 seconds. Ex: Y(8) - Y(5) = displacement

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 3 meters?

Do you have the equation for the velocity function? And any givens? That would help me lol.
