HELP! Is the equation A= 21000(1-0.12)^t a model of of exponential growth or exponential decay, and what is the rate (percent) of change per time period ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the rate is less than 1, it's decay. If the rate is more than 1, it's growth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rate of change in a % would be the change from 1.00 (100%). Ex. If there is a 20% change over time, your rate would be 1.20 If there is a -10% change over time, your rate would be 0.9

OpenStudy (96mertcank96):

so it is a decay and 10% change?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your rate is 1-.12 = .88 Convert .88 to a percentage (%). Take that percentage and subtract it from 100%. 100% - __% = rate of change %

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(Still need to include positive or negative in front of the %)

OpenStudy (96mertcank96):

wait what?
