Porfavor Help me ? (; How does a universal genetic code relate to the hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth?
all living organisms share a common ancestor.
As all species share the same genetic language, we can think that they share also a common ancestor. If they don't share this common ancestor, then why do they all have the same genetic code ? Nature is prolific enough to create other ways to code. But the only language that exists (for now, because we don't know the main part of life) is shared by every living organism on Earth. That means that if there were others ways to code life, they all disapeared and only our genetic language subsisted thanks to the survival of one organism, and if there were only our genetic language from the begining, we all are children of the first living organism. This organism is our common ancestor.
