How do I differentiate the function..... y=(sin^4(u^1/2))

What part of the question are you having problems with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How to differntiate it . I think i use the chain rule somehow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=\sin ^{4}\sqrt{u}\] HOw to differentiate this

You have to apply the chain rule twice and then the power rule. Remember that when you apply the chain rule your are trying to apply it on the "inner" function, so what do you think would be the first function you use the chain rule on?
