Check my answer, I think it is C. Which of the following is not a step used when graphing the equation y = −one over fourx + 8 using the slope-intercept method? Plot the x-intercept (32, 0). Plot the y-intercept (0, 8). Draw a line through the two points. Count down 1 and right 4 from the y-intercept.
Seems a strange question to me. Suppose the right answer is C, then you don't graph the equation at all. That can't be right. Suppose the answer is A: could be, because you don't need (32,0). Just do the other steps. Suppose the answer is D: could be, because if you have (32,0) and (0,8), all you have to do is draw the line.
All is is asking is which step isn't right.
I know, but I think that that every step is right, but not every step is needed. So: if you do steps A, B and C, then D is not needed. if you do B, C and D, then A is not needed. Because you have to draw the graph, C is always needed, imo.
Wha about A, bc there is no 32, in the sentence.
(32, 0) is on the graph, because -1/4 * 32 + 8 = 0
I would go for A: plotting (32,0) isn'very convenient, because it's far away... If you plot (0, 8) (B), then go 1 down and 4 right (D), you can then draw the line between these points (C). So A is not needed.
