Completely change her eating behaviors from fast-food consumption to eating a wholesome, nutritionally balanced diet which contain all the macronutrients (Protein, Carbohydrates, and Fat). Cut out all soft-drinks and replace with water. Eat frequent but smaller meals spaced evenly throughout the day (2.5-3 hours apart). Exercise regularly--everyday, making sure to Strength Train (whether bodyweight or with weights) AND perform cardiovascular work. Instead of the traditional steady-state running for 10-30 minutes or longer, implement intermittent-fashion training. This means to perform at a high intensity for a certain amount of time (ideally 2-4 minutes; but the intention is to exert maximal effort like there is no tomorrow), and take appropriate breaks between sets. But you must ensure that rest times never are greater than actual work time. Perform 4-5 sets. This workout should take 15-20 minutes, and increase the fat-burning effect.
