is the x negative? that's the question for something like this, this is the equation:\[y=2x-\frac{-5}{x}+7\] so then that would me yes, because the equation would be negative on a graph, going from the left to the right.

no it is 2x-5 divded by x+7

oh, then no, it would be positive, not negative. my bad then.
