Am I solving this problem right? (Image is below)

This is what I did to solve it:
3.14 x 27 = 84.78
(I multiplied the height by Pi)
17 x 17 = 289
(I squared the radius; multiplied it by itself)
84.78 x 289 = 24501.42
(I added both my products together to get my correct? answer)

Oh my apologies; I have to calculate the volume.

adding the products doesnt seem appropriate; volume of a cylindar has no adding in it

V = pi r^2 h

you did, pi h, and r^2

but you shouldnt add them together

84.78 x 289  is correct, so long as your products are good.  but that mutliplication, not addition .... unless you wanna do alot of additions, 289 of them
