The frequency tells you how many of the x's you have of that value. for example you have 2 ones and 3 twos, and so on. write them all out the median is 4, so 4 is the middle number. half of the numbers are below 4 and half above 4 can you try to do the problem ?
i have tried , but not geting the answer
if you add up the frequencies of all the numbers below 4, you get 9 for 4 to be the median, the frequencies of the numbers above 4 must also add to 9
as n is even, so, n/2 and (n/2)+1 th term 8/2 and (8/2)+1 th term 4 and 5 th term
how do you get n is even ? you can choose the frequency of 8 so you get an odd #

we are told the median of that sequence is 4. there are 9 numbers below 4 (count, or add up the frequencies) so you want 9 numbers above 4
