WARNING: THIS IS REALLY GROSS
My dad has a sinus infection. Whenever he is getting over a sinus infection, if he tilts his head slightly to the right, yellow stuff will just pour out literally like a river. You know, when you turn the sink on? yeah, that's what happens. He keeps saying it is just yellow snot, but I'm not so sure. I heard of this one lady who had the same thing. She tilted her head, it would just poor out. She went to the doctors and found out it was the liquid that was inside of the brain sack (the sack that the brain is inside of). lol okay. I wasn't sure because doesn't look like snot and it isn't just a drip. It it literally like when you turn the sink on and the water pours out. I'm not trying to gross aybody our here, this is just what happens. Thanks @thomaster :D

Then they kill the bacteria and let maggots eath the dead flesh. And that stinks bad!

It's not that bad they wont eat the living tissue so they'll only clean the wound. Way better then amputation

In an otherwise healthy person, I don't think you need to worry about anything major like cerebrospinal fluid coming out of someone's nose. That said, sinus infections (even ordinary colds, not involving sinuses) can produce quite a bit of mucus as the body attempts to rid itself of the infection.

It is also not the purpose of this website to provide health info. This comes up from time to time - and the rationale behind the policy against soliciting health advice is that many of the users here are not medical professionals, so the people who are giving advice might not have appropriate training to do so.

Although this is a pretty innocuous case. :) My advice would be that because your father is losing a lot of fluid, he should be careful to make sure that he drinks enough water or juice to replace them. And keep the Kleenex handy.
