i need help with a cladogram the animals i'm doing it on are blue jays, robins, cardinals, finches, and pelicans. i really need help

So basically, a cladogram is used to find the relationships between animals / species. Specifically, it shows the branching off of specific traits. To make your cladogram, I would first start by finding the characteristics that the birds have and common, and what characteristic(s) make each species different. For example, the animals are all birds and have wings - this means that they are all derived from a winged ancestor that gave them that characteristic.
@wach is right. After, you have to find wich characteristic came first in the history of life (webbed feet for example). You certainly have some characteristics to study.
